Meet the Founder: Juwan HAl (JMan)

I'm Juwan hal, an alumnus of Cal State East Bay, Dedicated to expanding my creative horizons ​by mastering the latest technology and software to deliver the best in imaging and ​production.

A Journey of Passion and Dedication

My journey in the world of media began in 2010 with a simple handwritten note on the door: ​"Recording in Progress." Countless hours were spent perfecting light, staging, dialogue, and ​sound, all captured by a blinking red record button. It was in those moments that my passion ​for capturing and creating stories was ignited.

Experience

With over a decade of experience, I've had the privilege of working on a diverse range of ​projects. From serving as backstage support and managing Light/Sound Operations for ​theatrical productions to directing & Producing indie feature films and creating ​independent scripts and animation series, my journey has been rich and fulfilling.

JManMotionPixtures to JHALMediaVentures

Originally operating under JManMotionPixtures, my work spanned theatre partnerships, ​CREATING (indie) feature films, screenplays, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND CREATING A HOST OF OTHER ​PROJECTS. THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ARISED AND I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE CREATIVE BURNOUT, LEADING TO ​A THREE-YEAR HIATUS. During q1 of 2024, I held a very encouraging roundtable discussion. IT ​reignited my interest. (Newsletter on this roundtable, coming soon) JMMP was retired in the ​best interest of preserving its history. After deliberation, resuming Operations under ​jhalmediaventures served as an opportunity to rebrand. (learn more about the transition in ​our newsletter)
